Stones found in Women’s brain instead of Kidney/Gallbladder
First case of Albright's hereditary osteodystrophy at SMS
We have heard of Kidney and Gall Bladder stones but this is one of the first cases in India of stones in Brain. A women aged 20 years of Jhunjunu has been diagnosed with Albright's hereditary osteodystrophy.
It happens in 3 out of ten lakh people. The women’s epilepsy episodes have been fully controlled through medication. According to DR U.S Jain of SMS Medical College, the rare disease thesis written by DR RS Jain of neurology department at SMS has been published in the British medical journal under the name Brain Stones.
According to Dr. RS Jain the women from Jhunjunu was suffering from epilepsy since last 10 years along with problems of stressed nerves of hands and feet and extreme pain. After diagnosis lack of calcium, and phosphate and Para thyroid in high numbers came forward which are main reasons for brain stones. She also had glaucoma eye surgery in the age of 18 years. After the treatment, she has recovered.
