A patient from Dubai has undergone Bariatric surgery at SMS hospital in Jaipur. These kinds of surgeries will encourage medical tourism in government sector due to lifestyle diseases of foreigners. According to Gastro surgeon, Dr. Ajay Sharma, “There was a risk in the surgery due to extreme obesity. Laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery was performed on the patient. The patient was discharged after 6 days. Now his weight has decreased to 140 kgs. After this surgery, another patient from Dubai also wants to undergo this surgery at SMS Jaipur.
