They were all toppers in their subjects when they graduated from the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) medical college in 1984-85 and in the following years. But their gold medals remained elusive. Thirty years later, on Thursday, these toppers, some of whose children are now studying in the medical college, finally got the chance to bask in their moment of glory after they were given the medal.
"What an amazing feeling it generates when you are awarded with gold medals for academics in the same college where your children are studying," Dr Vinita Patni, a city-based gynecologist said.
